Congratulations, Mama!
You've made it to your third trimester! Your little one might be kicking so hard and so often that it’s causing you to lose sleep. At 15 inches and about 2.25 pounds your sweet pea can blink and is also experiencing REM sleep, and possibly having her first little baby dreams!
Even though you're getting super close to your due date, what some moms deem the "blissful" time of pregnancy is likely coming to an end. During the third trimester, you're likely going to deal with more swollen feet, and you're back to getting extremely fatigued throughout the day. As baby makes her way to her proper birth position, her head and your enlarged uterus may rest on your sciatic nerve (www.whattoexpect.com). The pain of Sciatica can be very intense. Some home remedies include a heating pad, a warm bath, some stretches and even just laying down.
I also want to remind you to keep drinking water and avoid stress as much as possible. I know it's easier said than done, but avoiding stress is one of the best things you can do for your baby right now. As for water, it's really easy to get dehydrated when you're hydrating for two! Aim to drink at least 12 ounces of water as soon as you get up in the morning, at each meal, and again right before bed. If you're forgetting to drink water throughout the day, try setting a reminder on your phone or some other clock/timer.
